A dedicated fleet module is next

A standalone Vehicles module — for road-going fleet vehicles and driver-related checks specifically — is the planned direction, kept distinct from workshop equipment.

Fleet safety, described accurately

This page is clear about the difference between what's tracked today and what's planned, so fleet and driver compliance is never presented as already built.

Overview

A dedicated Vehicles module is planned — no vehicle-specific data model exists in SafetyOps today. Vehicle-adjacent equipment (forklifts, lifting gear) is already covered by the Equipment Register/PUWER/LOLER; a distinct Vehicles module would cover road-going fleet vehicles and driver-related checks specifically.

Why it matters

Fleet and vehicle safety is a genuine, distinct compliance area from workshop/site equipment — grouping it separately avoids stretching the Equipment Register to cover a concept it wasn't built for.

Interface

A dedicated interface preview will be added here as this module is built.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track vehicles in the Equipment Register today?

The Equipment Register is built around work equipment (PUWER/LOLER), not road-going vehicles — a dedicated Vehicles module is planned rather than stretching that register to fit.
