Role, site, responsibilities and training history sit on one employee profile, referenced directly from Equipment, Training and Risk Assessment records elsewhere in SafetyOps.
Platform
Employees
Employee records, responsibilities and profile-level history, all in one place.
Overview
Employee records are an established, full-CRUD module: profiles, responsibilities and the training/competence information connected to each person.
Employees can be assigned a Job Role, and each role can carry its own requirements — mandatory or not, with a refresher interval where one applies — so what a role needs is defined once and checked against every person who holds it.
Each employee also has their own live workspace: real induction progress, training records, outstanding toolbox talks, the COSHH and risk assessment items assigned to them, the equipment assigned to them (with any authorisation issue flagged), and their own upcoming due dates — assembled from the same records held elsewhere in SafetyOps, not re-entered.
Why it matters
Competence and responsibility are the foundation every other H&S record depends on — an equipment check or a risk assessment is only as good as the person carrying it out being genuinely qualified to do so.
Benefits
Full employee profiles
Role, site, responsibilities and history in one record.
Connected to Training
Training and competence records link directly back to the employee.
Company-scoped access
Every record is protected by SafetyOps' multi-tenant access controls.
Workflow
- Add an employee record with role, site and responsibilities.
- Assign a Job Role where one applies, with its own requirements and refresher intervals.
- Connect training and competence records as they're completed.
- The employee sees their own induction, training, toolbox talks, equipment and due dates in one live workspace.
- Reference the employee from Equipment, Training and Risk Assessment records elsewhere in SafetyOps.
Connected across SafetyOps
Employees ↔ Job Roles
A role's own requirements — mandatory or not, with a refresher interval — are checked against everyone who holds it, not tracked informally per person.
Employees ↔ Training
Training records and expiry sit directly on the employee profile, feeding the same training matrix the Training module itself uses.
Employees ↔ Equipment
Equipment assigned to an employee, and any authorisation issue against it, is visible from their own record and their own workspace.
Employees ↔ Personal Workspace
Each employee sees their own real induction, training, toolbox talks and due dates — not a manager-only view they never see themselves.
Interface
See the employee record every other module builds on
Role, training, equipment and a live personal workspace — connected, not scattered. Book a walkthrough, or see the full platform.
Frequently asked questions
Does SafetyOps calculate a competence score per employee?
No. Employee profiles hold real records (training, responsibilities); a synthesised competence score is not something SafetyOps generates.
Is SafetyOps an HR system?
No — it holds health & safety information (role, responsibilities, training, competence, equipment authorisation), not payroll, performance reviews, or general HR records.
Can competence and authorisation records be managed against an employee?
Yes — training and competence records, role-linked requirements, and equipment authorisation issues are all visible against the employee's own profile and their own workspace.
One employee record. Every other module builds on it.
Role, responsibilities, training, equipment and a live personal workspace — the foundation record, not a name in a spreadsheet.
