SafetyOps looks at your company's own activities, processes and waste streams and suggests safety topics that are likely to matter — based on real information about your organisation, not guesswork.
Intelligence
Applicability Engine
SafetyOps identifies the safety topics likely to be relevant to your organisation, based on the work you carry out — never an automatic conclusion.
Overview
The Applicability Engine looks at structured facts about your company — activities, processes, waste streams — and proposes safety topics that are likely to apply, each with the follow-up questions needed to confirm it. It never jumps straight to a compliance conclusion.
This isn't AI guesswork — every suggestion is produced consistently and can always be explained. Candidates are surfaced through Company Setup and reviewed in the Company Compliance Profile, where a person confirms or dismisses each one. OPS can draw on the same company facts without making the decision for you.
Why it matters
Telling a company what they need before you actually know enough about them is how generic H&S software gives bad advice. The Applicability Engine is built to propose, never conclude, until enough facts genuinely exist.
Benefits
Consistent, not AI guesswork
Candidate topics are proposed consistently from your company's own facts, never model guesswork.
Always explainable
Every candidate comes with a clear explanation of why it was suggested.
Confirmation required
The engine proposes candidates; it never concludes a requirement on its own.
Workflow
- Structured facts about your company (an activity, a process, a substance) are checked against what's relevant to your organisation.
- A relevant match proposes a candidate topic, with the follow-up questions needed to confirm it attached.
- Nothing becomes a confirmed requirement without an explicit human confirmation (see the Safety Requirements Register).
Interface
A dedicated interface for this module already exists in the SafetyOps application.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the Applicability Engine today?
Yes. SafetyOps uses it through Company Setup and the Company Compliance Profile, where applicable requirement candidates are reviewed and either confirmed or dismissed by a person.
