Each contractor contact's real permits and incidents are visible against their record, instead of contractor details sitting apart from the work they're doing.
Platform
Contractor Management
Manage contractor competence, inductions and site access requirements.
Overview
Contractor Management is a real, governed module — contractor organisations and their individual contacts, with linked permits and incidents that contact has been involved in.
Permit to Work is live in SafetyOps. A contractor contact can be added as one of the people covered by a permit, alongside your own employees, and the permit itself can link to the risk assessment covering the work — with its status, isolations and checklist items tracked through to close-out, not managed on a paper permit book.
Contractor sign-in runs through the same Site Attendance workflow as employees and visitors, so who's on site is one picture, not a separate contractor logbook.
Why it matters
Employers retain real duties towards contractors on site — a structured record of who they are, who represents them, and what they're linked to is what that duty actually needs.

Connected across SafetyOps
Contractors ↔ Permit to Work
A contractor contact can be one of the people covered by a live permit, with the same status, isolation and checklist tracking as a permit covering your own employees.
Contractors ↔ Risk Assessments
A Permit to Work can link to the risk assessment covering the work, so the permit and the risk assessment aren't disconnected paperwork.
Contractors ↔ Incidents
A contact's real incidents are visible against their own record, not filed separately from who they are.
Contractors ↔ Site Attendance
Sign-in runs through the same Site Attendance workflow as employees and visitors — one record of who's on site.

Frequently asked questions
Can contractors log into SafetyOps today?
No separate contractor-facing portal exists — contractor organisations and contacts are managed by your own team, and contractors sign in on-site through the existing Site Attendance workflow.
Does SafetyOps support Permit to Work for contractors?
Yes — Permit to Work is live. A contractor contact can be added as one of the people covered by a permit, alongside your own employees, with the permit's status, isolations and checklist tracked through to close-out.
Does SafetyOps automatically approve or vet a contractor?
No — SafetyOps records the organisation, contact and evidence your team enters and links it to real work; your own team makes the actual approval decision.
One record for every contractor on site.
Organisations, contacts, permits and incidents — connected, not scattered across a filing cabinet and a paper permit book.
