Overview
SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) is the umbrella body whose member schemes — CHAS, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe, Constructionline, Acclaim and others — assess a contractor's health & safety arrangements against a harmonised set of Core Criteria, so an assessment by one is recognised by the rest.
This readiness view maps SafetyOps' own live data against those Core Criteria — H&S policy, risk assessments and method statements, training and individual qualifications, sub-contractor control, monitoring and review, accident reporting — grouped under the Plan-Do-Check-Act headings SSIP itself uses.
It is a preparation aid only. SSIP registration comes from an assessment by an SSIP-registered scheme; SafetyOps never asserts the records would pass, and a competent person confirms the evidence.
Why it matters
Most UK construction and facilities work now asks contractors for SSIP registration (usually via CHAS) before they can bid. Preparing for it manually means gathering evidence against a dozen criteria — this view assembles most of it from records you already keep.

Does this get us CHAS / SSIP registered?
No. It is a self-assessment aid that shows which SSIP Core Criteria SafetyOps already holds records for and which need your own input. Registration comes only from an assessment by an SSIP-registered scheme (CHAS, SafeContractor, SMAS, Constructionline and others).
Which criteria still need our input?
Access to competent health & safety advice (record who provides it) and your Employers' / Public Liability insurance certificates (upload them under Documents). Everything else — policy, RAMS, training, qualifications, sub-contractor control, monitoring, accident reporting — maps to a SafetyOps module.
