SafetyOps On The Move

Health & safety doesn't stop at a desk. Neither should SafetyOps.

SafetyOps On The Move is the working name for SafetyOps' mobile experience — an extension of the same connected platform, built for the people doing the work: on the shop floor, on site, in a vehicle, or walking an inspection round.

Access

The full app, in a mobile browser today

Every live SafetyOps module already works from a phone or tablet browser — no separate app needed to sign in, review the Dashboard or work the Action Centre on site.

No app install needed
Continuity

Report an incident with no signal

SafetyOps installs as a Progressive Web App with a real offline queue: an incident reported with no signal saves on the device and syncs automatically once a connection returns.

Offline, verified end to end
Honest status

One connected record, whichever device

Anything recorded on a phone lives in the same connected data as the desktop app; camera capture, QR scanning and a dedicated native app remain planned, not built yet.

Connected today, more planned

Available today

The full SafetyOps web application is responsive and works in any modern mobile browser today — there is no separate mobile app to install yet. You can already sign in, view your Dashboard and Action Centre, and use every live SafetyOps module from a phone or tablet browser.

SafetyOps also runs as an installable Progressive Web App with a real offline queue: report an incident with no signal and it saves on the device, then synchronises automatically the next time a connection is available — no manual re-upload, no lost report.

What a dedicated mobile app will add

A native SafetyOps On The Move app — built on the same React application and Supabase backend as the web platform, via Capacitor, with no separate mobile backend — is planned but not yet built. It will focus on the things a phone does better than a browser: deeper camera integration, QR scanning, wider offline coverage, and push notifications. See the public roadmap for the phased delivery plan.

Planned mobile capabilities

Inspections and audits on the move

Planned

Complete equipment inspections, vehicle checks and audits from a phone or tablet on site, not just at a desk.

Photo and video evidence

Planned

Capture evidence directly against the record it relates to — a defect, a near miss, an inspection finding.

Signatures and acknowledgements

Planned

Confirm training attendance, safe systems of work, or handover checklists with a signature captured on the spot.

QR and barcode scanning

Planned

Scan equipment or asset tags to jump straight to the right record instead of searching for it.

Reporting from the field

Planned

Log incidents, near misses and hazards as they happen, wherever the work is taking place.

Offline incident reporting

Available

Report an incident with no signal — it saves on the device and synchronises automatically the moment a connection returns. Live-verified end to end.

Notifications and reminders

Planned

Compliance deadlines, assigned actions and review dates delivered as mobile notifications.

Site and location awareness

Planned

Where permitted, associate records with the site or location they were created at.

Part of one SafetyOps, not a separate product

SafetyOps On The Move is not a different system — it's the same SafetyOps Command Centre, SafetyOps AI, and compliance data, reached from a different device. Anything recorded on a phone is connected to everything else — Equipment, Risk Assessments, Training, Actions, Documents and Evidence stay linked, whichever device was used to create them.
